Let’s talk money. If you’re shopping for wholesale CBD gummies, you’re probably getting quoted wildly different prices from different suppliers. Some are fair. Some are robbery. Here’s how to know the difference.
The Real Cost of a CBD Gummy
A standard 25mg CBD gummy costs the manufacturer roughly $0.08-0.12 to produce, depending on ingredients and cannabinoid source. That includes:
- Raw ingredients (pectin, sweetener, flavoring): ~$0.03
- Cannabinoid extract: ~$0.04-0.07 (depends on type and purity)
- Labor and overhead: ~$0.01-0.02
- Lab testing (allocated per unit): ~$0.005
When a manufacturer sells wholesale at $0.15-0.18 per gummy, they’re making a fair margin while giving you room to make a great one.
What You Should Pay (Tiered Pricing)
Here’s our actual pricing structure. We publish it because we think transparency builds trust:
| Order Size | Per Gummy | Your Investment |
|---|---|---|
| 2,000 gummies | $0.18 | $360 |
| 4,000 gummies | $0.17 | $680 |
| 6,000 gummies | $0.17 | $1,020 |
| 8,000 gummies | $0.17 | $1,360 |
| 10,000 gummies | $0.16 | $1,600 |
| 20,000 gummies | $0.15 | $3,000 |
| 50,000 gummies | $0.15 | $7,500 |
| 100,000 gummies | $0.14 | $14,000 |
High-potency surcharge: If your gummy contains more than 30mg total active cannabinoids, add $0.01 per gummy. This covers the additional extract cost.
Packaging Costs
If you want us to package your gummies into retail-ready bags:
| Bag Size | Cost Per Bag |
|---|---|
| 10 count | $0.60 |
| 20 count | $0.65 |
| 30 count | $0.65 |
| 45 count | $0.65 |
| 75 count | $0.70 |
| 100 count | $0.70 |
Container and label are provided by you. We fill, seal, and label.
No packaging? No problem. Bulk orders ship in food-grade containers. You handle the rest.
Red Flags in Wholesale Pricing
Be cautious if a supplier:
Quotes under $0.10/gummy. Either the cannabinoid dosage is lower than stated, the ingredients are bottom-shelf, or the COA is fake. You get what you pay for.
Won’t provide COAs. This is non-negotiable. Every batch should come with third-party lab results. If they won’t share them, walk away.
Charges “setup fees” for standard orders. Custom formulation development is reasonable. But charging $500 to set up a standard CBD gummy order? That’s padding.
Requires massive minimums. Minimum of 50,000 gummies for a first order usually means you’re talking to a broker, not a manufacturer. Real manufacturers can work with smaller runs.
Won’t tell you where they manufacture. If you can’t get an address, you can’t verify anything.
Calculating Your Retail Margin
Here’s the formula:
Retail price per unit - (gummy cost Ă— count + packaging) = Your margin
Example with 20-count bags, 10,000 gummy order:
- Gummies: 20 Ă— $0.16 = $3.20
- Bag: $0.65
- Total cost per unit: $3.85
- Retail price: $14.99
- Your margin: $11.14 per unit (74%)
At 500 units (10,000 ÷ 20), that’s $5,570 in margin on a $1,600 investment.
The Bottom Line
Good wholesale CBD gummies should cost you $0.14-0.18 per gummy in 2026. Anything significantly above that and you’re overpaying. Anything significantly below and you should ask hard questions about quality.
